Group for Cutchogue

No We!

Group for Cutchogue was not born yesterday, we know that some politicians are dishonest, but we try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

In the past and in the future, Southold Town has had, and will have, politicians and officials who serve the interests of the whole town. Currently, the Supervisor, the Town Attorney and compliant Town Board members are not.

The corruption currently occurring is reflected by the regular and scheduled closed door executive sessions of the Town Board and other Town government groups. They occur during Town Board “worksessions” when the public is not watching.

When questioned about compliance with the Open Meetings Law, Southold Town Attorney Patricia Finnegan stated that she did not have time to talk with members of the public, but that she is able to discuss anything she chooses with the Town Board in executive session under the doctrine of attorney client privilege. The New York State Committee on Open Government disagreed! Click here for a copy of a letter form NYS COOG to Save Cutchogue.

Do not believe it when the Southold Town Officials say they want to work with you. Get involved and you will find out they may be listening but they are not hearing. When they walk the talk then we can believe!

Our local supplies of fresh water are exhausted. Our local government refuses to plan for a cap on population. The strains on the natural and human environments are becoming destructive.

Time is running out. PLEASE join Save Cutchogue if you have not already.
